Peer
Review Committee for Energy and the Environment - Oversees the
peer review program performed jointly by ASME and the Institute
for Regulatory Science. The committee has performed peer reviews
for the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Science and Technology
Environmental Management Program since 1997. The peer review program
has now expanded to other government agencies.
Carbon
Sequestration Project Review Committee - Conducts a technical
review of projects in the US Department of Energy's Carbon Sequestration
Program (CO2). Sequestration of CO2 is seen as a critical component
of addressing the issue of global climate change.

Research
Committee on Nanomanufacturing Technology - Formally established
in June 2002, this committee provides a national focus for exchanging
technical information as well as for identifying and resolving technical
issues having to do with Nanomanufacturing Technology. The Committee's
mission is to enable and promote realization of Nanotechnology-based
products through science and engineering of manufacturing at various
levels in academia, industry and non-profit organizations. For more
