Accomplishments

Conducted
a Water Management Technology Vision and Roadmap Workshop in
May 2007. The
workshop served as a starting point for dialogue among ASME,
industry, government, and academia in order to guide future
ASME efforts to develop value-added products and services in
the water management area that benefit both ASME members and
the nation at large. The workshop was by invitation only with
35 participants from ASME and 24 organizations across the U.S.
The final workshop report will be issued in June 2008 and will
be widely distributed via the ASME website.
- Conducted
peer and program reviews for government agencies. For the US Department
of Energy, a review was performed of projects funded under the
Industrial Program. Peer reviews of the projects funded under
the DOE National Energy Technology Laboratory's carbon sequestration
program and advanced power systems program have also been performed.
